Too all Americans out there, what route would you take in an East-to-West coast cycling trip across America?
I am a male British student, and it’s an ambition of mine travel to travel across America by bike, after graduating from University (I even fancy studying post-grad in University of Arizona/California/Colorado because they’re all great for studying Geology – my current degree), so I can take in it’s amazing landscapes and culture, this could for months, but on my first major traveling trips I wanted to go somewhere safe for English people 
Any input into budgeting, interesting places to visit would be great – thanks
PS – Whether this has any affect on trip, I will at least 22-23 yoa when I leave for this trip
I do have the ‘Race Across America’ (RAAM) event in my mind as well
I’d pick one of the trans-continental US highways. That way you’re not missing out on small-town America. Look at either US 20 or US 30.
